Council sets the record straight via coalition kit To proactively address fad diets in defense of grain-based foods, the Council distributed a "Setting the Record Straight" direct mail kit in January to 7,200 health and nutrition leaders nationwide. Highlighting the importance of consuming carbohydrates, the kit contains copy-ready teaching materials of fad diet book reviews; a side-by-side comparison of the Food Guide Pyramid and several fad diets; and a coalition video. The kit is part of the Councils continued coalition effort to "set the record straight." |
