Lacey, Satter recognized by NAMA |

Gerald Lacey, former leader of the Minnesota and
National Barley Growers Associations who died last
summer, was honored recently with a posthumous
"Award for Agricultural Excellence," by the
Northern Prairie Chapter of the National Agri-Marketing
Association.
The family of Gerald Lacey (from left , Brian,Debbie, Clarice and Sharon) accepting a posthumous award honoring Gerald for agricultural excellence, recently given by Northern Prairie Chapter of the National AgriMarketing Association, for Gerald's public service work on behalf of producers. Lacey was honored for his public service accomplishments, bringing public awareness to issues affecting agriculture, such as greater research funding to combat scab in wheat and barley, and international grain trade issues. Also recognized recently by NAMA was Jim Satter, sales manager for Ostlund Chemical Company, Fargo, ND. Satter was named "Agri-Marketer of the Year," for outstanding accomplishments in the field of agricultural marketing.
