SD Ag Horizons Conference Dec. 7-8, 2004

The 2004 Ag Horizons Conference is scheduled to be held December 7th & 8th, at the Ramkota River Centre’, Pierre, South Dakota.

The annual event is sponsored by South Dakota Wheat Inc, South Dakota Crop Improvement Association, South Dakota No-Till, South Dakota Oilseeds Council, South Dakota Pulse Growers and South Dakota Seed Foundation.

This year’s conference will focus on marketing and the different types of marketing.

Ed Usset, from the University of Minnesota, will be presenting to producers “Celebrity Squares take the Post Harvest Challenge.” This presentation will tie “celebrities” to marketing techniques.

Carrol Duerr of Midwest Shippers Association will provide information on opportunities and challenges in marketing via the Identity Preservation style of marketing.

Rick Dusek from Cenex Harvest States will visit with producers on “The Future of U.S. Wheat Exports—An Exporters View Point.”

Overall the conference will host 35 to 45 speakers on a variety of topics including production practices, technology, and marketing.

The 2004 Trade show will host 35+ exhibitors featuring a wide array of products and information.
