Flax acreage to be harvested in the Northern Plains (mostly N.D.) is expected to nearly double that of last year, from 516,000 acres to 931,000 acres. Canadian flax acreage and stocks are also forecasted significantly higher.  No surprise then that ample supplies will draw down the price.  Consult with your local elevator about pricing/storage recommendations.  See link to elevators and flax buyers at www.ameriflax.com.
