Cargill AgHorizons Introduces “Pacer Accumulator” Contract
Cargill AgHorizons recently introduced the “Pacer Accumulator” contract as the latest addition to its “Pacer” portfolio of marketing alternatives.
These risk management products enable grain producers to capitalize on upside movement in market prices when they contract their grain, while at the same time protecting them against falling prices.
“(This) contract is ideal for those who believe that post-harvest average futures prices will rise,” says Dennis Inman of Cargill AgHorizons. “It has a built-in repricing feature, offers a range of pricing
periods and gives producers the flexibility to establish their basis price anytime prior to delivery.”
He explains that the contract basically enables producers to take advantage of market upswings, accumulating extra value on a daily basis for their contracted bushels for a modest service fee.
The new contract is available through Cargill AgHorizons locations and licensed third-party representatives. More information can be found on the web, www.cargillaghorizons.com .
