2010 Spring Wheat Variety Survey

Dear Wheat Producer,

Minnesota's Spring Wheat Breeder, Dr. Jim Anderson, University of Minnesota, needs information from producers on what Minnesota's preferred spring wheat varieties are. This information will help him in his selection of new varieties that meet your needs.

We are asking you to help gather this information by filling out the survey below. We will combine the results of all the surveys into a report that shows each variety as a percent of all wheat acres in the state and regions of the state. If you are interested in the survey results, the survey report will be published in the Prairie Grains magazine.

Your individual survey information will be held in strict confidence by the Minnesota Association of Wheat Growers. The only information that will be published is the aggregate data from all participating producers.

If you are no longer farming, please check the box on the survey.

Thank you for taking a few minutes to fill out and return the survey.

Sincerely,
Minnesota Wheat Research & Promotion Council

Instructions:
On the survey form, list the approximate number of acres you planted to each variety in 2008. If a variety that you planted is not on the list, please enter the name of each variety in the blank space under the "other" category. Please report all the acres seeded to spring wheat this year.

If you did not plant spring wheat, please check the box on the survey.
